Last week Malaysian's Fairuz Fauzy was announced as Spyker F1 test driver. Fauzy was Team Malaysia's second driver and active in the rookie sessions but will now be replaced by someone else.
A1 Team Malaysia Team Principal Jack Cunningham said: "First, we have to decide on the importance of the Friday rookie session which was Fairuz's priority. If Alex (Yoong), technical director Julian Randall and I come to a conclusion, we will have to decide before the next race."
"If we decide to use the Friday rookie session, we will talk to either Aaron Lim and Nik Iruwan,'' said Cunningham. "The decision has to be made in the next seven days. Aaron is preparing for a test for this year's Formula Renault V6 while Nik Iruwan is eyeing a place in the Formula Palmer Audi (FPA)."
The next A1GP will be held in Durban, South Africa on Feb 25.
