The final round of the 2006/07 A1GP World Cup of Motorsport got underway today at the Brands Hatch circuit in the UK. Bruno Junqueira was in action for the team for a one-hour practice session this afternoon.
Unfortunately, practice did not go very well with Junqueira having to settle for 16th place in the standings, two seconds off the time of Robbie Kerr for Team GBR, who finished the session at the top of the timesheets. This afternoon's outing was the Brazilian's first time driving on the Brands Hatch full Grand Prix track, although he did finish second in the 2003 Champ Car race on the Brands Indy circuit.
Bruno Junqueira commented: "The car is so loose, it's almost unbelievable. There is just no way to drive properly or to go to fast. We made some changes at the end of the session which improved it slightly, but we still need to make big changes to the car. The track is pretty cool, I love it, it's just a shame that the car is so loose I can't enjoy driving it properly - let's see if we can change that for tomorrow."
