Reid nominated for prestigious award

Jonny Reid has been nominated for a prestigious award - thanks to his drives for A1 Team New Zealand. Reid has been nominated for the 2007 Motorsport New Zealand Premier Awards in the racing category, which receives the Jim Clark Trophy. There are four categories in the awards - racing, historic and classic racing, rallying and junior racing.

Reid won three races, including a double victory at Sentul, Indonesia, to help A1 Team New Zealand secure second place in this season's A1GP World Cup of Motorsport.

The criteria for selection for the awards include outstanding performance at a national or international level plus a professional and sportsman-like attitude.

Reid is up against New Zealand V8 champion John McIntyre and national Formula Ford champion Sam MacNeill.
