Team Great Britain joins Goodwood Festival of Speed

A1 Team Great Britain has confirmed it will take part in the Goodwood Festival of Speed next weekend - reuniting Robbie Kerr with the car he scored his famous home victory with at the end of the season.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed - an annual motorsport gathering held in the South of England - regularly attracts 150,000 motorsport fans.

Kerr will demonstrate the car up the 1.16 mile hillclimb course. It is the same car he won the Sprint race at the RAB Capital A1GP Brands Hatch, Great Britain. 'I'm looking forward to making my first appearance at Goodwood,' Kerr told A1GP.com. 'As far as events go I think it's practically unrivalled in allowing the public to get up close and personal with some of the world's greatest racing machines.

'I can't wait to tackle the hillclimb in the A1GP car. I haven't driven it since Brands Hatch a couple of months ago so it'll be fun to let loose at Goodwood."

Kerr will be joined in representing A1GP by A1 Team Brazil's Team Principal and racing legend, Emerson Fittipaldi. Fittipaldi will be heading down memory lane driving the Lotus 49B he made his Grand Prix debut in.

The British A1GP car will be situated in the F1 Paddock at Goodwood, with Kerr participating in autograph sessions on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 12:30pm each day. Fittipaldi will join Robbie for Sunday's signing session.
