Emerson Fittipaldi believes drivers are going to be more important than ever in the 2007/08 season of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport. The Brazilian team principal insists that it will be the best driver line-up that will decide the eventual champions of the third season.
"A1GP is getting closer than ever," Fittipaldi said. "Even teams like India were nearer to the front this season and China is improving rapidly. We are not going to have a runaway leader and it is difficult to predict who is going to win the third season. But who will make the biggest difference? It will be the drivers.
"Everyone knows most of the tracks and we are all very experienced with the car and how to set it up. It will be the driver who will make the biggest difference which is what everyone really wants in a series like this."
A1 Team Brazil has yet to decide its driver line-up, although Fittipaldi recently admitted that 2006/07 drivers Bruno Junquiera and Vitor Meira are still in the frame.
