Team India ends testing due to driver's illness

A1 Team India's official A1GP test session has ended early after driver Narain Karthikeyan headed home due to illness. The team has not gone out today after the 30-year-old was advised by A1GP medical staff to rest because of a high temperature and fever.

With no other driver present at the test, the team has started to pack up its equipment. Karhtikeyan was quick in yesterday's practice, recording the seventh fastest time for India, just 0.398 seconds off the best set by France.

They will have another opportunity to prepare for the 2007/08 season, at the second official A1GP pre-season test session at Silverstone on 18-19 September.
