Team Canada ready for Zandvoort

A1 Team Canada concluded a very successful final test at Silverstone today, in just their second outing under the technical stewardship of Status Grand Prix. James Hinchcliffe set the 9th fastest time of the first day's running, with the team carrying out a series of set up evaluations for round one of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport. Day two saw Hinchcliffe improve on his previous best time, though he felt he didn't get the best out of his only set of new tyres and finished the day in 16th.

"The last test we had here was more of a team building exercise" commented Hinchcliffe. "This time out we've really been able to begin attacking with the car and finding out what works and what doesn't. We've achieved some really good results and were in or around the top five for most of yesterday; this morning I didn't get the maximum out of the tyres during our (simulated) qualifying run, otherwise I think we would have been comfortably in the top five. The car felt really good and the team are working well together, we can't wait for the season to begin."

"When we first showed up here two weeks ago I thought we had a lot of work to do but the guys have worked really hard getting everything together. John Booth is a super knowledgeable engineer and a really great guy; we've put together a really strong engineering package and I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of results we can achieve. The atmosphere in the garage is great and it's really starting to feel like a proper team unit now."
