Britain and Brazil penalised

A1 Teams Brazil and Great Britain have both been hit with two-second penalties in this afternoon's feature race. The incident occured after the teams were stationary at a red light on at the pit exit after their first mandatory pit stops.

Both teams were deemed to have gained an unfair advantage on leaving the pits. The result promotes France to second place, USA to tenth and Mexico to 11th.

Switzerland now leads the championship on 61 points, eight ahead of second-placed France on 53, followed by New Zealand in third on 46.
