Tomas Enge says there is a possibility he could race again for A1 Team Czech Republic this season. The 31-year-old returned to A1GP action for the first time in 10 months at Zhuhai last weekend and by his own admission, overachieved on his return.
Enge finished fifth in the Sprint race, the team's best result for 16 races. He backed that up with an eighth-place finish in the Feature race, moving the squad up to 14th in the championship standings.
'Our results in Zhuhai were better than the car we had,' Enge said. 'Before the weekend I said I'll be happy, and I mean really happy, for any top ten finish looking at the results we've had in the first three races. It went that much better, more than we expected. During the first race the car was very good.
'The second race was just a question of surviving for us - we had a problem with the brakes. The last ten laps I had no front brakes and I couldn't see any marks on the front discs and because it was steel to steel.
'That's probably the driving style I have and Zhuhai was hard on the brakes. You've got acceleration, up to sixth gear and harsh on the brakes again. But we got points in both races and very positive weekend for us. I'm not sure yet whether I'll be back. I have to think about it a little bit over Christmas and New Year. But there is a possibility, yes.
