USA penalised for Feature pit stop

A1 Team USA has been penalised 70 seconds in the Feature race for making its mandatory pit stop outside of the proper window - handing Pakistan its first point of the season.

The first pit stop is supposed to take place between the laps 8 and 16, however, the USA squad was judged to have completed its first stop just outside this limit.

As a result it loses eighth place from the Feature, and the three points that go with it. The team was eventually classified in 14th.

The results mean that the Netherlands and Mexico move up a place and gain an extra point each, and Pakistan finishes tenth, earning its first point of the 2007/08 campaign.

All other stewards investigations have been concluded.
