Karthikeyan eyes top six with Team India

05 August 2008

A1GP driver Narain Karthikeyan hopes the team will be more consistent in the upcoming A1GP season and eyes a top six by winning more races. The former Formula One driver from India is convinced his team will do better in the upcoming season.

"We will do better than last year. Last year due to my injury we missed a few points. Our plan is to be more consistent and bring the team into the top six by winning more races and more podiums," Karthikeyan said. "We will be announcing the team in a week or two."

Speaking about his personal targets Karthikeyan said: "My future plan right now is A1GP, the Ferrari new car, and it has become pretty high profile championship with Ferrari getting involved. The car and engine are designed from Ferrari, which is based on the Formula one car from 2005."
