A1GP World Cup of Motorsport will be making changes to its race weekend format for A1GP Zandvoort, the Netherlands with qualifying and the Sprint race being affected.
In place of the four separate qualifying segments there will now be just a one-hour session, with no restriction on the number of laps each car can complete. These times will determine the grid for the Sprint race. The Sprint race will not have the mandatory pit stop and its results will determine the Feature race grid.
The qualifying format has been changed due to the late arrival of the A1 teams from Brazil, China, France and Portugal, who have been unable to shakedown their cars. The mandatory pit stop has been dropped from the Sprint race to conserve equipment, however, this will not affect the two pit stops in the Feature race.
