      <description>Lady Luck deserted Germany in the finale of the 2007/2008 A1GP season at Brands Hatch (Great Britain). After having finished eleventh in the sprint race, 22-year old Michael Ammermüller missed a possible podium position in the subsequent feature race because of a tyre failure. Germany occupies eighth place in the final classification of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport and relinquished the World Championship title to Switzerland. </description>

The brilliant double podium elevated GBR to overall third place in the 2007/08 A1GP World Cup of Motorsport and the team will collect the trophy for bronze at tomorrow evening's glamorous awards ceremony in central London. </description>

Nicolas Prost set the 11th-quickest time of the rookie drivers, and then handed over to Franck Montagny for the final run. Franck set the 10th-fastest time only 0.536s off the best time of the day. </description>
